David graduated in 1991 in the top 10% of his class from the University of Toledo College of Law. Following graduation, he began the practice of law with the defense firm of Crabbe, Brown & James in Columbus, Ohio. David was then named partner in the litigation department of Roetzel & Andress, a firm of 250 attorneys with offices located in Ohio, Florida and Chicago.
In 2006 he started a boutique law firm located in New Albany, a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. His firm focuses on defense litigation involving chattel and real property. David’s practice is devoted almost 100% to defense litigation. As first chair, he has tried over 50 cases to jury in both state and federal courts in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Nevada in matters involving issues such as: wrongful death, product liability, breach of contract, employment disputes, premises liability, intentional torts, lender liability claims, among others.
The evolution of David’s practice to include mortgage lender representation with respect to chattel and real property was due in part to the relationships he created with several large banks and loan servicers in the 1990’s. David provides litigation and creditor rights services to servicers, lenders and other financial institutions in connection with the defense of matters such as: TILA, FDCPA, RESPA, FCRA and TCPA. David has extensive experience in both state and federal court, including bankruptcy court, defending such claims. He has also successfully defended class action claims brought against his clients.
David is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
